Graphium Weiskei

The purple-spotted swallowtail, Graphium weiskei, is considered one of the most beautiful and desirable of all butterflies. While its underside is a basic brown, its topside is black with a highly unusual patchwork of purple, green, and blue spots. These spots are actually “windows” to pigments within the wings; the surface scales are non-pigmented.
